Listed here is a miniature oil/kerosene lamp, Victorian, referenced in Smith book 1 Fig 245, also known as the "Elsie" lamp, belonging to a family of lamps with names like Nara, Diana, Erminie and Victoria. It is 8 1/4 to the top of the Chimney.
There are embossed scrolls that match on both base and shade. There is old gold paint over the embossed pattern some missing. The glass is in excellent condition and has striations characteristic of antique glass. The shade is in excellent condition. The upper and lower rims are rough, no chips or fleabites. The brass collar, burner and tripod have the patina of old brass and are undamaged and functional. The thumb wheel is unmarked but the wick moves up and down. The chimney is old and undamaged.
