Rare English Sterling Silver Table Cigar Lighter Oil Lamp 1939 Antique

A beautifully made English solid sterling silver table lighter. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1929 with the makers marks being rubbed (the full hallmarks are difficult to read but the individual parts are clearly hallmarked). It has been beautifully made being in the form of an eastern lamp complete with snake handle. It would have been lit after dinner allowing the gents to light their cigars. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs - the odd faint mark and the base is fractionally out from being perfectly circular.

It measures 4.5 inches (11.6cms) long by 2.5 inches wide by over 3.5 inches tall and weighs 82 grams. A beautifully made unusual piece. If you have any queries etc... To see lots more rare and beautiful silver.
