Old Antique LARGE Brass & Porcelain BIRD Leaves Floral BANQUET OIL LAMP BASE

Presented for your consideration is this beautiful antique oil banquet lamp base. The very bottom of the base is brass and features a ornate pattern around the top with wide, squarish feet. The midsection of the lamp is porcelain and features a colorful purple, green and yellow leaf design against a black background. There is a blue band through the middle which bares gold and silver colored leaves and flowers on it.

On the front is a large silver colored heart with a bird inside of it. Around the bird are pink flowers and green vines.

Gorgeous, intricate detailing is present throughout the pattern. The base is completed with an unusual, mushroom shaped brass front with a brass burner and shade holder. Top of the font has an ornate floral design on it and around the outer edge is a scalloped pattern. The font easily lifts in and out of the base. Adjusting knob on the font turns with ease and is marked with The Solar E.

This stunning lamp base would make a great addition to any antique lamp or lighting collection! A small hairline crack is in the top of the midsection. No significant cracks or chips is in the porcelain.

Brass is free of dents and dings. Typical light wear from age and use. Overall in VERY GOOD condition.
