This is a Coleman #160 KERO-LITE Mantle Lamp with its Burner, Gallery, Flame Spreader, Shade Holder, Coleman Shade & a Matador Chimney. Coleman literature refers to this lamp both as Kar-O-Lite and Kero-Lite. The lamp was introduced in 1939 and stayed in production through WWII. The font is made of clear glass with a Butter-Scotch off White paint fired on. The very bottom of the base is painted with Gold paint.
Care should be taken not to scratch the paint. This is a WORKING KEROSENE OIL LAMP, the burner, gallery and font cap are all nickel plated.
It has a good glass font, the font holds oil, the font cap unscrews easily, the burner unscrews easily, the wick riser turns and the wick goes up and down easily. The wick is already in it and it looks like it has been used. There is a very rare & hard to find Shade Holder that comes with this lamp! There is a Nice Original Coleman Shade in a White Glass with Butterscotch colored Roses on it. There is NO Mantle on it.

The Coleman Shade is approx. = 6½" tall with a 9¾" wide bottom fitter. = 12" tall with a 2-5/8" wide bottom fitter. This lamp would be an Excellent addition to any Home, Victorian or Modern. A Great OIL LAMP to have when the lights go out!!
