For your consideration is this EXCEPTIONAL English made blue diamond quilted mother of pearl rare & pristine undamaged small Victorian art glass miniature peg oil lamp base. The opening for this English signed burner is one inch & uses a medium English thread size. The the widest part of the font is 3 7/8"; the peg itself is 7/8" wide.

It is so pristine that in any position when turned it always looks the same with the top being very deep rich opalescent blue! As you are most probably aware of most of these 1880's fancier peg lamp bases display serious flaws: deep staining, large or excessive bubbles, stars & bruises, etc.

This base is as free of these. With a little oiling the very high quality burner will work perfectly when a wick is added.
