Magnificent Art Nouveau 1890 Bronze Authentic Tiffany & Co. 954 Oil Lamp Opal Fireglow Art Glass 29. This is a magnificent ca. 1890 art nouveau signed Tiffany & Co 954 gilded bronze figural oil lamp in original condition. It is a banquet lamp.
It is not electried, has original oil font. It is a very ornate piece with four scroll feet, four lion heads, four applied flower medallions, four large doorknockers with holly leaves and berries. It has bas relief acanthus leaves all around. The lamp has trumpet shape blue white opalescent fireglow art glass at mid section. The oil font has applied gilded large acanthus leaves, wreaths with swords and torches.The wick raiser is signed Made in US of America. It is a very large lamp. The base measures 9 x 9", fireglow piece has 4" diameter, it is 11" tall, oil font has 6.5" diameter. The lamp is 29 tall without the shade.
As you can see it came with an antique Fenton opalescent very large shade and chimney. Shade measures 9 x 9. The chimney lamp is 42 tall.
As you can see it is in magnificent condition, as expected it has gilt is worn, bronze looks fabulous the way it is without gilt anyway. Wick raiser works just fine.
I don't see any damage on the lamp, glass is in excellent condition without any cracks, hairlines. When sun shines on the lamp, glass glows so lovely as shown. Discounts will be given only if items can be combined safely in the same box. Your satisfaction is very important to us.
