Both regulator burner buttons are hallmarked: the first with LONDON EVERED & CO Lime Birm , and the second with NO 4 Duplex Evered & Co. A graceful lever controls the wick. All original parts with the exception of the newer glass chimney.
Evered & Company was founded in 1809 on Charles Street, near Drury Lane in London. In 1860, the firm moved to Birmingham to be in the center of the brass making industry, and set up on Bartholomew Street, Digbeth.
