Antique Sandwich Blown Glass Whale Oil Lamp Nicholas Lutz Latticino Swirl, Rare

Description : An antique Whale Oil Lamp (sans burner and chimney), attributed to Nicholas Lutz, Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, c. Hand-blown, 4-1/4 diameter White Latticino Swirl Font with textured and stepped brass stem; square marble base. A fine, early example of master glassblowing that will not disappoint.

The photos are probably the best description. Condition : Marble Base has soiling, staining and minor edge/corner wear; the brown protective felt pad is probably not original. Brass Stem and upper threaded component with expected tarnish and soiling consistent with age; they have not been cleaned.

Blown Latticino Font survives in excellent undamaged condition. No chips, cracks or repaired damage. See photos for complete details and close-ups. Please consider them as part of the description. Measures approximately 9-1/4H overall on a 3-3/4 square base. Diameter of glass font : 4-1/4.
