Antique Royal Worcester Oil Lamp

For your consideration is an antique Royal Worcester oil lamp. The base and drop in font are porcelain and it has a Palmer and Co.

On the side of the font collar it is marked MESSENGERS PATENT and on the bottom of the base it has Schreve Crumb &Low Co. Boston, also the RD # 137923, and 1403.

All of the porcelain and paint are in good condition with no chips or cracks but there is light wear to areas of the paint. The Palmer Duplex burner and shade ring have been soldered together and the top of the burner has a split between the 2 wick slots. All parts move freely that can be accessed but the burner can not be taken apart. It measures approximately 13 1/2" tall to the top of the burner and 8 5/8" to the top of the base. The hole in the base for the font to sit in is 6 1/8" in diameter and the bottom of the base is 5 1/4" in diameter. Please review and enhance the photos as they are part of the description. We examine items carefully & list defects, however we are human & it is possible to miss something.
