Antique Red GWTW Electrified Oil Lamp withHand Painted Lily Flowers on Base, Globe
This is an original late 19th century gone with the wind style electrified oil lamp with original hand painted glass lamp base and globe featuring lily patterns on both front and back in red, white, green, and blue. Condition is excellent; the cast iron and brass pieces are nearly flawless with on cracks, chips, or other major damage, and the original finish is intact and shows only minor light wear and a beautifully aged patina. Both glass pieces are excellent with no visible damage. It comes complete with a clear glass chimney.
The lamp was electrified and currently has a bulb on top in the center of the burner and a night light sized bulb in the bottom. The center of the burner was removed to accommodate the main socket. Both sockets work and the cord is in like-new condition. A switch on the cord turns both lights on and off at the same time. The lamp stands a total of about 25" H including the chimney, and the globe measures 10" in diameter.
