Antique Rayo Victorian Nickel Kero Oil Lamp, Original Aladdin Shade/Chimney

This listing presents a wonderful survivor of over a century. It is an original Victorian "Gone with the Wind" style oil/kerosine table lamp, manufactured by Rayo, USA. It consists of a lamp base, central draft burner, original Aladdin shade, and chimney. The base is made of nickel plated metal, polished and in perfect condition.

The shade is a mushroom style, the lower half of clear glass, with a pleated effect; and the top half of milk glass, divided into ten sections, each with a tiny motif in relief. The lamp is completely original and has not been converted. Although the shade is not original to the lamp base, it is antique and was intended to fit this style of lamp, whatever the brand; and I believe they have been a pair for over 50 years. The lamp base is in excellent condition; the shade has a few rough edges, but no chips or cracks. Lamp Base to Chimney height- 21.5 inches. Shade - W - 10.5 inches; H.
