I've only seen a couple pairs of these in the last 30 years, these fonts feature a schoolboy perched on a branch? The repousse work is outstanding, I'm trying to recall another example in this period of lighting... There are 2 tiny holes drilled for the wiring, and the draft tube in the burner is gone. I don't see any material damage to report, other than that caused in the electrification, no dents or splits to the brass. The shades are replacements, and free from chips or cracks.
I've added the chimneys. 14 in tall, extending 12 inches out. These do not articulate, not sure if they were glued in place? Whatever it is, I'm sure it can be undone....The item "ANTIQUE PAIR OF WALL SCONCE ARGAND OIL LAMPS SOLAR ASTRAL" is in sale since Thursday, February 15, 2018.
