Antique Near Pair Of Peg Oil Lamps Cranberry Satin Glass Shades Opalescent Fonts

Beautiful antique (near) pair of peg oil lamps with a swirled opalescent glass peg font with wrythen cranberry satin glass shades which graduate in colour from pale pink at the bottom to a darker cranberry at the top. There are working single wick burners and unbranded chimneys fitted. The wick winders work well and there is a small amount of wick remaining.

The fonts are mounted upon a pair of silver plated telescopic candlesticks which an be raised or lowered by simply twisting the stem and there is a Registered No. Of 5313 stamped on the brass collar.

The candlesticks do have wear to the plate and a dent to the foot as per my pictures. I have listed these lamps as a near pair because the pierced base of the wick holder isnt the same on both lamps. In all other respects the lamps match. Height overall to top of chimney extended 48cm.

Height overall to top of chimney retracted 44cm. The lamps have been photographed with pink paraffin in the fonts - this will be removed before sending.
