Antique Nautical Mermaid Banquet Lamp / Conk Shell Font / Nautical Ball Shade
This antique banquet lamp has a extraordinary lamp base featuring a twin tailed nautical winged mermaid with a conk seashell as the font holder. It has its original finish with minor wear comensable with its age. The detailed casting has incredible detail and flow to its shape. Lamp base measures 10 inches wide, 18 inches to top of burner and 27 inches to top of chimney. Shade is a spectacular nautical match to the base with shells, dolphin and King Neptune.
The ball shade measures 8 inches in diameter and has its original brass ring on top. The shade has no chips or cracks with minimal wear to the paint. The lamp was electrified long ago but has been rewired with modern cord.The font has been fastened to the base by brass screws so it is not removable. The are a few imperfections to the casting shown in one picture but do not detract from the piece. Two of the four feet have pads to help level the lamp. This banquet lamp is rarely seen in this form with original shade.
