ANTIQUE KING BLUE GLASS OPALESCENT DOTS KEROSENE OIL LAMP BASE with CHIMNEY
This is an as found antique KING GLASS CO. Who made KING MELON colored and clear glass kerosene oil lamps with opalescent dots. The blue or aqua colored lamp base is 17-1/2 tall from the base to the top of the clear glass with a tinge of aqua color in the beaded top of the chimney, 9 to the top of the smooth band brass collar, the blue or aqua colored glass with opalescent dots FEATHER DUSTER font is 4-3/4 at the widest part, blue or aqua glass stem is 5 tall with a 4-1/2 round ribbed base. In the reference book #2 OIL LAMPS ll GLASS KEROSENE LAMPS by Catherine M. Thuro on page #117 figure B a similar lamp is featured. It has a marked EAGLE #2 brass burner with P&A MFG. Marked on the thumb wheel. The clear glass chimney with a beaded top is 8-1/2 tall with a 3 fitter opening. CONDITION: in as found condition with no cracks but SMALL CHIP on the base of the lamp, some factory slag in the glass, vintage tarnish to the brass collar and burner, no chips or cracks or other damage to the clear glass chimney and lamp burner has a used wick.
