Antique Hanging Library Oil Lamp Brass Frame Glass Shade
For your consideration is an antique Wavecrest hanging brass library / parlor oil lamp with a matching glass 14 dome shade and font. On this brass frame it has a nice leafy ornate pattern with a bow at the bottom of the font holder. The shade and font is white glass with a tan base paint and a floral and landscape scene stenciled on. The brass hanging frame is in good condition with no breaks but 1 screw that holds a side arm on is mismatched to the other 3. This motor does extend and retract, it also has a lock and 2 notches on the pulley to lock it it different positions. The Queen Anne No 2 burner, font collars, smoke bell, and shade crown are in good condition. The shade is in good condition with very small bites on the large rim and no cracks, it does have very slight wear to the stenciling. The lamp measures approximately 42 total height from the top of the canopy to hang it to the bottom of the frame in the retracted position. The shade is 6 5/8" tall, the top rim is 6 1/8" in diameter, and the large bottom rim is 13 3/4. Please review and enhance the photos as they are part of the description.
