This is a great little find that is now ready for a new home. Antique desk lamp that would have required oil at one time but now simply needs a bulb and electricity. This is not a new lamp and was subjected to some aggressive modifications for electrification at some point in its past.
The burner cannot be retrofitted to oil; the larger font does lift out but has sharp edges from being cut open. There are a few minor nicks/dents to the brass pieces. The brass has been polished but does still show a little wear. Surprisingly, the center rod is not 100% brass as.
Areas caused by the friction of adjusting the lamp up and down. To have been painted at one point. The milk glass panel shade is in very good condition: small flea bites on bottom edge and top edge and. Sliver on top edge (see photo). Please view photos as they are part of description. On/off turn switch is finial knob at base of font holding socket/shade. A hurricane shade as well if you wish to add one.
