Fine Antique American Brass Whale Oil Lamp, Possibly WEBB, Warren, Maine, c. This is a very attractive 19th Century American whale oil lamp that appears to be made similar to those manufactured by William Webb of Warren, Maine. It is a tall lamp with nice turnings to the brass body, a lemon shaped font and a brass double whale oil burner on the top of the lamp. This could be a lamp made by William Webb of Warren, Maine. It is rare to find marked examples of his fine work as only about 10% of all of his lamps are marked at all. DIMENSIONS: This brass whale oil lamp measures 8 1/16 H. At the base and 2 1/8 Dia. CONDITION: Very good condition with some wear to the brass finish. For an early 19th Century lighting device this is exceptional condition. This brass whale oil lamp measures 8 1/16 H.
