This fine three front oil lamp was made in Italy or France c. The reservoir slides up and down the central shaft and the lamp is equipped with a cartouche shaped carrying handle.
The original three implements used to maintain the wick and flame are attached by chains to a collar the slides on the shaft. The piece is in original antique condition but I noticed there is a small hole worn into the lid of the reservoir.
In the past we have had this type of lamp electrified with three small bulbs and a sliding shade to become a bouillotte lamp. The overall height of the lamp is 19.75. The base is 5 in diameter.
