Here's a beautiful emerald green 1890s original antique Fishscale with Cable Font kerosene stand lamp made in Findlay, Ohio.... Complete with original brass collar, brass White Flame emb burner, wick and glass chimney! The hollow 6 sided base has Fishscale pattern on the inside surface...
9 1/2tall to threaded brass collar... 18 1/4with burner & chimney..... Excellent shiny nice condition with only one small shallow chip on very bottom of base; no other damage.A shiny clean lamp with no haze. The original brass Ebling clinch collar is excellent with no splits or damage.
Original period brass burner is emb WHITE FLAME LIGHT CO. On the top of burner. It is in good working condition and turns the wick up & down nicely.
Clear glass chimney is perfect with no chips or damage. A clear hand lamp with the "Fishscale with Cable Font" design is pictured on page 252 in the book " Oil Lamps - The Kerosene Era in North America " by Catherine Thuro. This pattern lamp is attributed to Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton Glass Co of Findlay, Ohio. Although we've not used this lamp, I'm sure it would work just fine if you get some lamp fluid at Walmart or a hardware store....We are going through many boxes of 50 years worth of digging and accumulated treasures, so its time to "thin out the herd" a little.
