XLNT Antique Fostoria Hand Painted Turquoise & Fuchsia Floral GWTW Oil Lamp

This is an excellent original late 19th century Fostoria gone with the wind style oil lamp with original hand painted glass globe and lamp base. Other than a wick, it is complete, in excellent original condition, and has never been electrified. The top of the burner is marked Fostoria with patent dates from 1890, 93, and 95. Both glass pieces are near perfect with no obvious damage but the globe has a few tiny flakes along the bottom edge.

The flower patterns are painted on both front and back. The paint and finish on the entire lamp is original and in excellent condition. There is one worn spot in the paint near the top edge of the glass lamp base, but the remainder of the paint is intact.

The gold finish on the cast iron base is worn and has acquired an aged patina. The gold finish on the font and burner is excellent with little wear. I haven't put oil into the lamp and tested it, but the wick knob is functioning, the mechanism inside that moves the wick appears to be complete, and there are no cracks or holes anywhere. The lamps stands a total of 24" tall and the globe measures about 9" in diameter.
