Manhattan Brass Co Student Task Lamp Light, Oil Burning 1877 1878. The lamp is missing the clear glass chimney. Everything looks good on the lamp. The shade is really nice glass something a little extra that you do not normally see more heavy duty. I did not light the lamp up for a couple of reasons, one I did not have the chimney, two I did not have a wick, and three I did not have the oil.

I do not see a reason why the lamp would not work if the care was taken to properly set it up. You can see some age and patina on the metal. The glass shade is green and white and I would make sure that the shade is secured properly. The lamp does move up and down for adjustment. Please contact with any questions.
