Lg Original Antique B&H No. 5 Hanging Country Store Oil Lamp with Glass Shade

This is an excellent original antique (turn of the century) hanging country store lamp complete with a No. 5 B&H Radiant font with original B&H burner, smoke bell, glass chimney, and milk glass shade with cascading floral patterns hand painted all the way around. It is just missing the wick.

The lamp is nickel plated and in excellent condition, but there is a dent toward the bottom of the back side, shown close-up in the photos. The nickel plating is still very good with little wear other than light spottiness from age, but the lamp is a little dusty and could use a good cleaning. The frame is cast iron with old silver paint on it, also with little wear other than light spotty surface rust.

The milk glass shade is a period replacement with new paint to replicate the flower patterns on the original shade that broke (flower patterns on the original shade shown in the last photo). The replacement shade is the same size and looks excellent with no damage. There are several patent dates marked throughout the lamp including the years 1876, 1877, 1890, 1896, 1898, and 1901. When hung, the bottom of the lamp hangs down 34" from the ceiling and the shade measures 13 5/8" in diameter. The item "Lg Original Antique B&H No.
