This is a very unusual Victorian Gone With the Wind style lamp. It features an image of a pair of an Australian Kiwi birds on both the top globe and the bottom base.
The image is a transfer print, the one on the bottom is a little darker then the one on the top. It is large, 28" high (26" not counting the chimney) and the top globe is 11 in diameter.
The base has wonderful paw feet. It has been electrified, there is a turn knob on the font with four positions, all off, top light on, bottom light on, and both on. The knob that would have raised and lowered the wick is marked "Success". Condition: There is a flake at the very top, partially hidden by the brass ring, this is shown in one of the close up photos. The brass font has some spotting. There is a hole in the burner, it looks like maybe someone had run an electric cord through it. This is also shown in a photo. Overall it is in very good and usable condition. The item "Antique Victorian Kiwi Birds GWTW Electrified Success Oil / Kerosene Parlor Lamp" is in sale since Sunday, March 10, 2019.
