Fine Antique Toy Miniature Pewter Whale Oil Lamp with Original Burner, Probably American, c. This is a very fine miniature Antique pewter whale oil lamp or toy lamp that is a wonderful example of a primitive early American lighting device. This is a sweet little unmarked piece of pewter that has a unique turned shape to it's font with a wide dish base. The lamp has it's original single tube burner which is hard to find in this tiny size. Based upon the small size, style and shape of this pewter whale oil lamp it is probably American and dates from 1835 to 1850 at the latest. DIMENSIONS: The lamp is just 3 3/8 H. (top of font), 3 5/8 H.
