THE LAMP's VASE WAS IMPORTED FROM JAPAN SOMETIME IN LATE 1890's, ASSEMBLED AND EQUIPPED WITH METAL PARTS AT EDWARD MILLER MANUFACTURING CO. THE CASED PINK AND GILT DRAGON SHADE WAS, AS USUAL BACK IN THE DAY, PICKED UP BY A FINE AMERICAN RETAILER, VERY LIKELY A. THEY WERE THE LARGEST IMPORTER-DEALER OF JAPANESE ART OBJECTS AT THAT TIME. THIS GORGEOUS LAMP IS IN A GREAT CONDITION. THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE GLASS OR CERAMIC, ONLY SOME USUAL WEAR TO SURFACES CONSISTENT WITH AGE.
THE KEROSENE BURNER WORKS FINE, AS YOU CAN SEE ON MY PICTURES. THE MEASUREMENTS ARE: 45 1/2" TO THE TOP OF THE GLOBE, THE METAL PAW BASE IS 11" AT THE WIDEST. THE CASED PINK GILDED DRAGON SHADE IS 9 1/2 IN DIAMETER.
