This is a great little find that is now ready for a new home. Antique desk lamp that would have required oil at one time but now simply needs a bulb and electricity. This is not a new lamp and was subjected to some aggressive modifications for electrification at some point in its past.
The burner cannot be retrofitted to oil; the larger font does lift out but has sharp edges from being cut open. There are a few minor nicks/dents to the brass pieces. The brass has been polished but does still show a little wear. Surprisingly, the center rod is not 100% brass as.Areas caused by the friction of adjusting the lamp up and down. To have been painted at one point. The milk glass panel shade is in very good condition: small flea bites on bottom edge and top edge and. Sliver on top edge (see photo). Please view photos as they are part of description. On/off turn switch is finial knob at base of font holding socket/shade. A hurricane shade as well if you wish to add one. The wiring appears new, and this lamp does work.
