Antique 1890 Brass B&H Oil Lamp Kerosene Parlor Hurricane Lantern Vtg Old Early

Gorgeous Antique Kerosene / Oil Lamp. All original parts, with the exception of the new glass chimney.

It has patent dates on the burner and spreader of 1890, 1892 and 1895. We machine polished all the solid brass.

This is a center draft, round wick lamp. Large circular body with a waisted stem and a flaring circular pedestal foot with cutouts. The cap turns easily for filling the font. The only "imperfection" we can find is that even though the knob turns smoothly, the wick doesn't move up and down unless you push the knob a bit sideways to connect with the riser, because the "teeth" on the knob have worn down over the years. So, the burner could be replaced, or if someone knows how to repair the teeth that could possibly be done, or you could use it this way. Total height including chimney: 21 1/4. Height from base to the top of the wick spreader: 12 1/2. Diameter at widest point: approximately 7 1/2. You're going to LOVE it! We have many antiques and vintage collectibles - see our other items.
