19thC Sandwich Blue Glass Whale Oil Lamp with Blown Star Bullseye Font & EAPG Base

Description : An early Whale Oil Lamp (sans burner and chimney), 11H, attributed to the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, Massachusetts, 19thC. Crude, Mold-Blown 4-1/4W blue glass Font with Star & Bullseye or Moon design, pressed Peacock Blue base, and stepped silver or plated metal intermediate stem.

Condition : Blown Glass Font has some minor interior haze and a few inclusions, in-the-making; otherwise in Very Good. It has not been cleaned. Note : the upper threaded brass collar is not attached to the font and will need new plaster.

The top rim of the font has a fairly rough sheared edge, as shown. Base with typical wear, including a few shallow perimeter flakes (see close-ups). Metal Components with expected wear, tarnish and soiling. See photos for complete details and please consider them as part of the description. Measures approximately 11H x 4-1/4W overall.
